About me <3

I was born and raised in San Francisco, home to the largest Sanrio store in the country during the 90’s <3 Picture shown on the right, this flagship store was like Hello Kitty and friends wonderland. I remember taking the 30-stockton bus to downtown with my grandmother during the weekend and my eyes would glare at the Sanrio Store until we got off the bus. As you enter the store, the Sanrio associates would greet you and ask you if you want to play the $1 mini-games or pick up a surprise bag. My grandmother would always spoil me and let me play, then we would shop around and go upstairs where they frequently have arts and crafts such as Japanese sand art painting (Sunae), coloring contest or face painting. One thing I would never forget is the Hello Kitty fortune telling booth, which was located on the stairs when you’re heading up to the 2nd floor. I forgot how much it cost, but after your fortune, it would feed out a small Hello Kitty ticket sticker :P

I have been influence with Hello Kitty and friends for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school, I took on a part-time job and saved money to buy Hello Kitty things that my grandmother was not able to buy for me. I soon realized I wanted to see the world, so I decided to studied abroad in both Japan and Taiwan during high school and the beginning of my college career. Currently, I attend school and live in Los Angeles County with my two papillon dogs <3 Sometimes I think my dogs have grown to love Hello Kitty because they always sleep and cuddle with her:P

Even though my friends and families may think I am very childish when it comes to Hello Kitty, they still support me with my Hello Kitty collection. Ultimately I want to expand my Hello Kitty collection and continue to travel the world and collect Hello Kitty products around the world :] or maybe even open my very own Hello Kitty boutique store.
