Red envelopes also known as “Hong Bao” in Mandarin are traditionally passed out during the Chinese New Year’s celebration from married couples/elderly to those who are not married/children. Red envelopes are always given with cash inside. Besides Chinese New Years, red envelopes are also given out during family gatherings, weddings and holidays.

Omg! I love the Hello Kitty and Family one the best! Like the others it is quite cute, but the part I love the most is seeing her family. & New Year you get together and celebrate with your family so I believe it is most appropriate. =)
I would have to say the family one is my favourite. It grasps the real meaning of the Chinese New Year, which is really all about celebrating with family.:)
i would have to say that the Hello Kitty and Family red card is my favorite because it just has a total overall look of pure cuteness. it shows family bonding, love, happiness, pureness, and lets not forget ADORABLENESS :D i was already obsessed with hello kitty and seeing this made me flip! i even said “i must have this” out loud! ;) favorite favorite favorite by far <3
Hey!!! mines didn’t have any $$$….but it was sooo cute i forgave u…how sweet of me…
Plus!!! The Hello Kitty in the pink Kimono Rox!!
Green Kimono is my favorite! It’ really detailed, and who doesn’t like Hello Kitteh dressed to impress from head to toe?! hehe…
I love the hello kitty pink kimono because I love hello kitty and the film memoirs of a geisha. When I saw hello kitty in a kimono, memoirs of a geisha poped in my head she looks great.
The last envelope with the entire family is really cute! I have never seen that one before and it shows what happens during New Years! Envelopes from family!
